DESCRIPTION:

Would you like to explore an unbeaten place in the North Iceland? Flateyjardalur is an amazing valley surrounded by beautiful mountains and crossed by rivers that will make our drive more exciting! Once we reach the bottom of the valley we will stop in a fantastic spot by the ocean where we could even see some whales and close to the island Flatey that gives the name to the valley.

Here you can hike a little bit the area while I barbecue some good Icelandic food. I will also prepare some  good italian coffee and I also let you taste some Icelandic beer. 

This valley is extremely beautiful. It was inhabitated since the earlier settlement in Iceland and last people to live here left in 1953. Choose this tour if you want to taste the real Iceland, far from the crowd.

Icelandic weather is often unpredictable and it can change many times in the same day. For your best comfort and safety we recommend you to wear warm clothes and take with you waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves and hat. It's very important, especially in winter time, to wear waterproof walking shoes with a good grip. Always take with you your swimming suite and a towel.
